These are irises that I transplanted. I read in a magazine that irises usually bloom in late spring or early summer, and that the best time to transplant them is during mid-July! And I had been waiting for it to bloom...So what I did was I pulled out some daisies from this spot and transplanted the irises. Hopefully they will bloom next year...

looks like you planted your irises too deep, they might not bloom. a friend who owns a nursery told me that one time.
when planting irises just cover it with little dirt and doesn't matter if the tuber is visible. thats how it suppose to be. but you can try planting it deep and some not.

Thanks so much for that tip! Good thing your comment was so timely, I can re-do the whole thing and it won't be so hard because the soil is still loose. :)
